Description (last modified by Nicolas) (diff)

I have a network drive mapped across the ocean (which is admittedly not the best idea I've had this year, but anyway...)

Browsing this drive is a little slower on muCommander than windows explorer, which I could deal with easily - what is a big problem though, is that, if I have this drive open on one pane, browsing the other pane (which shows my local drive) becomes painfully slow too.

Plus, when I do a big copy from this networked drive, muCommander becomes completely unresponsive, and I can't do any other operations (I can't even minimize the window!?)

My argument is that network operations should be asynchronous as far as possible (whatever muCommander is doing in the background can probably be done in a separate thread, since I can already see all the files&folders on both panes, as well as free space info in the bottom-right corner when I want to start navigating)
